General Responsibilities: 

  • Represent Densify acting as first point of contact for all technical inquiries regarding the Densify product
  • Resolve reported customer issues in the areas of system configuration, setup, product functionality, and enhancements. This includes troubleshooting, testing, referral to other service areas and follow-up
  • Work with Managed Service and Densify customers managing their Densify infrastructure
  • Manage escalations from customers and partners and ensure Densify remains strong in its commitment to its customers’ success

Requirements:

Technical Writer

A highly motivated “Tech-Savvy” Technical Writer. The ideal candidate will have experience working for a fast-paced, medium-sized software company. This person must have excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.

General Responsibilities:

  • Work with product management, engineering, services and QA to fully understand and document new features and enhancements in order to update product documentation and release notes for each product release.
  • Prepare draft content for the What’s New guide, including screenshots.
  • Install, upgrade and maintain the product installations. Familiarity with Windows OS and MS SQL would be an asset.
  • Publish final versions of all documentation from MadCap Flare and MS Word (via Adobe Acrobat) for each release and co-ordinate distribution to customer and partner portals.
  • Prepare custom online help content and PDF guides based on specific customer requirements.
  • Work with technical services and support teams to edit, publish and maintain Tech Notes.
  • Log any software bugs found during the documentation process and verify closure.
  • Address all documentation-related issues and verify closure with the user who has submitted the change/fix.
  • Create VBA to format and clean up Word documents and shell scripts to parse and compare information to create release notes.
  • Familiarity with documenting APIs. Ideally, be able to configure and use the product API to document API features.
  • Familiarity with creating video content of product feature for both instructional and marketing purposes.

Requirements:

Position Overview:

We are current looking to fill the role of a Pre-Sales Technical Specialist to join our team. Working with sales executives and our business development group, the Pre-Sales Technical Specialist will provide pre-sales coverage throughout the SaaS sales cycle.

The position requires strong technical foundation combined with excellent presentation and pre-sales skills.  The successful candidate will possess conceptual and analysis skills, planning abilities, sound judgment, innovation, excellent writing skills, and superior communication skills. This position will be based in Richmond Hill and report to the VP, Technical Sales. The position requires occasional North American travel (approximately 10%).

General Responsibilities:

  • Deliver all technical phases of a SaaS-drive sales cycle. This involves preparing and delivering sales presentations, performing software demonstrations, managing all phases of prospect Proof of Concept projects including preparation and delivery of POC summary documents and presentations, performing competitive research, and coordinating and preparing RFI/RFP responses.
  • Occasionally deliver on premise technical workshops and ad-hoc training.
  • Regular prospect and partner interaction via telephone, email, web meetings and in-person contact.

Position Description
Due to rapid growth Densify is actively seeking a Consulting Technical Account Manager who will be responsible for building and maintaining post sales relationships with Densify’s customers. You will serve as a technical advisor, ensuring successful Densify software deployment, and both license and use case expansion. You will support one or more Densify Account Managers who will own executive relationships.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Provide advice and guidance as the Densify subject matter expert to ensure successful ongoing usage and adoption of Densify capabilities
  • Architect & design innovative solutions to customer requirements using Densify software
  • Provide advice and foster support for automation of client’s processes by leveraging Densify’s capability and API interface.
  • Facilitate client’s optimal use of Public Cloud by providing insights into their workload requirements and how to right-size their environment. Provide advice on leveraging various Cloud provider’s offerings, such as Auto-Scaling Groups.
  • Collaborating with the Account Managers, undertake discovery and education activities to identify opportunities for Densify usage across organizational functions and processes
  • Advise clients and Densify teams to integrate Densify software with key 3rd party tools and client processes
  • Function as a frontline technical resource for “best practice” and customer How-To questions
  • Build relationships with business partners, internal and external, and contribute to broader goals and growth beyond the scope of a single customer engagement
  • Polished speaker with the ability to evangelize Densify at various levels within a large organization
  • Contribute to the growth of the Technical Account Management practice by identifying and leading internal strategic initiatives to drive the team’s value to Densify, our customers and our partners.
  • Engaging with customer support as a customer advocate to ensure speedy resolution of customer issues
  • Engaging with product management as the customer advocate on product roadmap discussions
  • Maintain current functional and technical knowledge of Densify

Position Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in server/cloud technical pre-sales
  • Direct customer engagement experience with an IT vendor in post-sales or professional services organizations is required
  • Successfully managed customer engagements to completion and customer satisfaction
  • Excellent analytical skills & problem solving skills, combined with the ability to provide quick resolution to problems
  • Experience with multiple operating systems including Windows, UNIX and Linux; and with VMware virtualization
  • Experience with multiple cloud service providers such as SoftLayer, AWS, and Azure
  • 2+ years of experience in an IT Infrastructure Architecture role
  • Lead technical requirements and design gathering sessions and writing requirements and high-level technical design documents
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Able to effectively develop materials that are appropriate for the audience.
  • Must be customer service oriented and believe in teamwork, collaboration, adaptability & initiative
  • Demonstrable success in thinking strategically, executing tactically while providing consistent and high levels of customer satisfaction and retention in a fast paced environment
  • Competitive & competitively aware. Proficient at explaining strengths & vulnerabilities
  • Willingness to travel periodically based on customer and business need (approximately 25%)
  • B.S. degree in an engineering and / or technical discipline from an accredited college / university required: Computer Science, Computer / Electrical Engineering, Industrial and Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering

Job Summary 
The Account Manager is responsible for the management of steady-state, Densify account relationships. Primary responsibilities will include expansion of the Densify footprint (primary use cases, licenses) and services revenue growth within their portfolio accounts. This is achieved by building strong multi-level customer relationships based on trust and value, understanding the customer’s business strategies, and successfully meeting individual customer needs. The position requires excellent verbal and written communication skills, consultative solutions-oriented sales skills, strong technical aptitude, as well as strong organization skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Relationship management
    • Build and maintain executive relationships within the account.
    • Develop Account Plans to drive expanded usage of the Densify product.
    • Achieve revenue targets set for the targeted accounts.
    • Develop a trusted advisor role by understanding Client's overall business goals and needs.
    • Achieve a high level of Client retention, Client satisfaction and reference-ability.
  • Communications & Reporting
    • Ensure good understanding of Client business needs via formal Account meetings and informal, ongoing communications.
    • Provide product and capabilities demos/presentations.
    • Coordinate and manage quarterly business reviews.
  • Product Usage & Issue Resolution
    • Ability to understand and resolve technology issues independently
    • Continuous needs analysis and promotion of Densify value to the Client.
    • Consulting with the Client to identify product and service solutions.
    • Liaise with Densify product management to coordinate Client participation in Densify Beta release opportunities.
  • Revenue Growth
    • Pursue new revenue opportunities and create strategic and tactical plans to uncover expanded use cases for Densify within the Client’s organization.
    • Engage Densify Solution Architects to develop and present business proposals, presentations, and services SOW documents for new opportunities within portfolio accounts.

Requirements
  • 5+ years of demonstrated relevant experience in an account leadership role within IT management consulting or software services industries;
    • a senior consulting & services background in the infrastructure space would be ideal with a focus on services delivery (i.e. implementation projects and upgrades).
  • Good understanding of technology, virtualisation/cloud eco-system and knowledge of data center operations, capacity planning/forecasting, and/or infrastructure services management;
    • a strong understanding of infrastructure processes (capacity, incident, change) is required.
  • Proven track record in Client relationship management, business development or sales;
    • a strong understanding of the inner workings of large, complex IT organizations (interplay between architecture, engineering and operations) is required.
  • Ability to speak other European languages would be an advantage.
  • Bachelor’s degree as a minimum.

  • Demonstrated ability to understand a complex distributed software system with sufficient depth to troubleshoot highly technical, time sensitive issues.
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas verbally and through documentation.
