New capabilities enable the fastest and smartest path to public cloud while providing complete visibility and control over costs

Las Vegas – November 29, 2016 – Today, Cirba Inc. announced the addition of Cloud Migration Analytics and Cloud Cost Optimization Analytics solutions to Densify.com. Densify.com is a SaaS solution that combines industry-leading analytics with Expert Insight from infrastructure optimization advisors, making it easy for an organization to optimize their use of hybrid cloud resources.

“Densify.com now provides the easiest and fastest way to determine which enterprise applications can and should migrate to public cloud. And no other solution ensures that move will be as cost efficient and as low risk as Densify.com. Densify.com leverages Cirba’s best-of-breed analytics that set the industry standard in planning enterprise scale cloud transformations for Fortune 500 companies and global services providers,” said Gerry Smith, CEO of Cirba.

Densify.com’s New Cloud Migration Analytics

Cloud Migration Analytics enable organizations to migrate enterprise applications to public clouds faster, with less risk and lower cost. The solution includes expert insight from specialized Transformation Advisors and provides a detailed transformation plan that ensures every workload gets exactly the right kind of infrastructure resources in the right amount, without waste. The solution assesses enterprise applications running on VMware or PowerVM on AIX infrastructure for suitability to move to public clouds including Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft® Azure™ and IBM® SoftLayer® according to compliance, regulatory, security, utilization and other technical requirements. It also provides the ability to compare catalog-based IaaS with public bare metal hosting solutions, such as VMware running on SoftLayer or the upcoming VMware on AWS solution.

The Densify.com migration analytics provide a plan that:

  • Identifies the best, most cost effective, public cloud hosting environment for each application
  • Specifies resource requirements and cloud catalogue instances
  • Outlines the costs associated with the various hosting options being considered

Densify.com’s New Cloud Cost Optimization Analytics

“Too often we hear stories of an organization getting sticker shock when their public cloud invoice comes in the door and costs have spiraled out of control. By using Densify.com’s Cloud Cost Optimization Analytics, our customers will get a predictive view of exactly what their workloads will need in the cloud based on their actual demand patterns, eliminating these surprises while ensuring costs are as low as possible,” said Gerry Smith, CEO of Cirba.

Densify.com’s Cloud Cost Optimization Analytics solution gives customers the visibility required to actively control and reduce public cloud spending in Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft® Azure™ and IBM® SoftLayer®. The solution leverages a customer’s detailed billing data, along with a deep understanding of workload requirements, public cloud capabilities and costing to provide visibility and control for both today’s spend and future costs. In addition, the service includes insights from Cloud Cost Advisors leveraging domain expertise to help guide customers to lower spend. The solution provides:

  • Complete visibility into detailed spending and budgets configurable by business unit, service type, app and timeframe
  • Budget management to ensure costs are accurately allocated and forecasted across business units, projects, and cost centers
  • Recommended actions to actively reduce spend by right-sizing cloud instances based on historical utilization analysis and identifying dormant VMs

The new capabilities will be available in Q1 2017.
