Sessions will share practical steps to adopting software-defined infrastructure
Toronto, Ontario – June 1, 2015 – Cirba Inc., the leading provider of software-defined infrastructure control solutions, today announced it will be speaking at Gartner’s upcoming IT conferences, including the Gartner IT Infrastructure & Operations Management Summit in Berlin (June 1-2) and the Gartner IT Operations Strategies & Solutions Summit in Orlando (June 15-17). At both events, Cirba Co-founder and Chief Technology Officer, Andrew Hillier, will discuss practical steps for achieving a software-defined infrastructure.
The majority of organizations realize the potential operational benefits from adopting software-defined technologies in their IT infrastructure, however most are missing a key ingredient. The software-defined data center (SDDC) is not accomplished by simply bolting together virtualization, software defined networking, and software-defined storage technologies. Instead, it is important organizations understand that SDDC is not something that can be bought off the shelf, but rather is an operational state achieved by adopting a policy-based, codified approach to controlling all the moving parts within the infrastructure.
Hillier will discuss how organizations can attain a unified software-defined strategy and gain the benefits of greater flexibility, agility and automation by adopting policy-based control over infrastructure supply and application demand. Specifically, Hillier will outline how this approach to infrastructure management is not only necessary to control newer software-defined infrastructure, but also allows existing virtual infrastructure and internal clouds to operate in a more software-defined way, unlocking their untapped potential.
Hillier will be presenting at:
Gartner IT Infrastructure & Operations Management Summit
Estrel Berlin, Berlin, Germany; June 1-2, 2015
Gartner IT Operations Strategies & Solutions Summit
Hilton Hotel, Orlando, FL; June 15-17, 2015
