Is there a virtual or streaming component?
The event page shows mostly in-person programming. It’s common for KubeCon to offer recordings or streaming for keynotes or certain sessions, but the official site doesn’t clearly list virtual attendance options for 2025 (as of now). You’d need to check the registration or FAQ sections for any hybrid/virtual access. (LF Events)
How do I register and what are the pass types / ticket options?
Registration is via the Linux Foundation’s event site. Pass types usually include:
- Full access to all days including co-located events (if you choose)

- Add-ons for co-located or special tracks
Also, there are sections for scholarships & travel funding, so discounted access may be possible. (LF Events)
What are co-located events and how do they factor into my registration?
Co-located events are specialized mini-conferences or subject-focused days (e.g. EnvoyCon, Istio Day, Observability Day, Kubernetes AI Day, etc.) held concurrently or just before/after parts of KubeCon. (LF Events)
Some passes include access to these; others may require separate registration. You’ll need to check specifically which events are included in your pass. (LF Events)
Which sessions / content tracks are “must-see”?
While “must-see” depends on your interests, some high priority/stem tracks in 2025 include:
Cloud Native + Kubernetes AI Day (LF Events)
Observability & Data on Kubernetes Day (LF Events)
Project Engagement, Platform Engineering, and security-focused tracks. (LF Events)
Keynotes and the Solutions Showcase are typically highlights. Also don’t miss lightning-talks and maintainers’ sessions. (LF Events)
What should I do to prepare / tips for attending?
Review the schedule now and mark sessions of interest, especially co-located events. (LF Events)

What happens if I can’t attend in person? How can I catch up?
Keynotes and many sessions are usually recorded and posted after the event.
The CNCF often shares slide decks, video recordings, and summaries.
Even if in-person content is primary, much of the learning is preserved for online access later.
