Connecting Densify to Azure

VMware Requirements Connect Quickly & Easily

To collect data, you need the Densify Connector. It's a self-contained, Windows-based application that allows you to perform automated, scheduled data collection from your vCenter Servers or vROps and transfers that data via HTTPS to your dedicated Densify instance for analysis. Our Densification Advisors walk you through the process to make it as easy as possible.

Supported VMware Versions

You can collect data from vCenter (note configs) to gather data daily or if you have vROps, connect to it to get historical data as well.

VMware vCenter Server 6.0, 6.5, or 6.7

  • Read-only account required with access to the clusters, hosts, VMs and datastores to be audited
  • Config Stats Level 2 (Level 3 if you need to report on disk IOPs and network packets), statistical logging interval of 5 minutes and 48 hour data retention (required if not using vROps)

vROps 6.4, 6.5, 6.6, or 6.7 (Standard, Enterprise)

  • Read-only local user account required
