Cirba to Speak on Software-Defined Infrastructure Control at Gartner Data Center Conferences

Cirba will share actionable insights on achieving a Software-Defined Data Center

Toronto, Ontario – November 19, 2014 – Cirba Inc., the leading provider of software-defined infrastructure control solutions, today announced it will be speaking and exhibiting at Gartner’s upcoming data center conferences, including the Gartner Data Center, Infrastructure & Operations Management Summit in London (Nov. 24-25) and Gartner Data Center, Infrastructure & Operations Management Conference in Las Vegas (Dec. 2-5). Cirba Co-founder and Chief Technology Officer, Andrew Hillier, will present at both events on practical steps for achieving a software-defined infrastructure.

Hillier will outline how organizations can attain a cohesive software-defined strategy and gain greater flexibility, agility and automation by adopting policy-based control strategies that manage infrastructure supply and application demand. He will address how this approach to infrastructure management is not only necessary to control newer software-defined infrastructure, but also allows existing virtual infrastructure and internal clouds to operate in a more software-defined way, unlocking their unfulfilled potential.

Many organizations are starting their journey to the software-defined data center by deploying software-defined networking technologies. As they do, it is important that they codify the operational policies that govern what the infrastructure should look like, and precisely how infrastructure supply is aligned with application demand. Software-defined technologies remove the traditional physical barriers that create operational silos, and while this open playing field of compute, storage and network capacity is a key benefit of software-defined infrastructure, it cannot be fully leveraged without a control system in place that understands both the requirements of the workloads and the capabilities of the infrastructure itself.

Cirba’s software-defined infrastructure control is leveraged by a growing number of the world’s largest IT organizations to gain unprecedented visibility, operational control and automation in virtual and private cloud environments.

Hillier will be presenting at:
