The Technical Support Analyst is the first point of contact for Densify customers and as such, excellent communication skills and strong customer service focus are crucial for success in this role.

This is a full time position that requires shift flexibility including possible evenings, weekends and overnight shifts.

General Responsibilities: 

  • Represent Densify acting as first point of contact for all technical inquiries regarding the Densify product
  • Resolve reported customer issues in the areas of system configuration, setup, product functionality, and enhancements. This includes troubleshooting, testing, referral to other service areas and follow-up
  • Work with Managed Service and Densify customers managing their Densify infrastructure
  • Manage escalations from customers and partners and ensure Densify remains strong in its commitment to its customers’ success

Requirements:

Scrum Product Owner

We are seeking a Scrum Product Owner for Densify. This person will join the Software Development team and be responsible for defining and detailing feature requirements via user stories. This person will work with a number of groups in the organization including Product Management, Software Development, and the Client Services team.

General Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with Product Managers to define features that meet customer and market needs

Technical Writer
Department: Product Management

A highly motivated “Tech-Savvy” Technical Writer. The ideal candidate will have experience working for a fast-paced, medium-sized software company. This person must have excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.

General Responsibilities:

  • Work with product management, engineering, services and QA to fully understand and document new features and enhancements in order to update product documentation and release notes for each product release.
  • Prepare draft content for the What’s New guide, including screenshots.
  • Install, upgrade and maintain the product installations. Familiarity with Windows OS and MS SQL would be an asset.
  • Publish final versions of all documentation from MadCap Flare and MS Word (via Adobe Acrobat) for each release and co-ordinate distribution to customer and partner portals.
  • Prepare custom online help content and PDF guides based on specific customer requirements.
  • Work with technical services and support teams to edit, publish and maintain Tech Notes.
  • Log any software bugs found during the documentation process and verify closure.
  • Address all documentation-related issues and verify closure with the user who has submitted the change/fix.
  • Create VBA to format and clean up Word documents and shell scripts to parse and compare information to create release notes.
  • Familiarity with documenting APIs. Ideally, be able to configure and use the product API to document API features.
  • Familiarity with creating video content of product feature for both instructional and marketing purposes.

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of experience working as a technical writer;

Data and Reporting Analyst

As a Data and Reporting Analyst, you will create and customize dashboards and reporting solutions used to optimize costs, resource allocations and placements in cloud and data center environments. As a member of the Product Management Team you will collaborate with the Engineering, Services, Sales and Documentation teams by acting as a resident expert for reporting and dashboards and often get involved in fast-paced rapid prototyping activities.

General Responsibilities:

  • Based on design ideas from PM team members and other teams, quickly create compelling dashboards and reports using Tibco Jaspersoft Jasperserver Pro reporting engine integrated into Densify solution.
  • Design and document data domains necessary to power reports and dashboards.  Establish and maintain excellent understanding of reporting tables and other data sources holding key metrics used for reporting and dashboards and best way to access and aggregate this information.
  • Develop and maintain excellent knowledge of custom and standard reports and data domains previously developed by yourself and others.  Implement common design standards and consistent styling across such element as much as possible by acting as a subject matter expert in this area.
  • Actively share knowledge by developing draft documentation and conducting training in the area of report/dashboard design and associated data domains creation.
  • Get involved in rapid prototyping activities requiring reports/dashboards customization to quickly address new customer requirements.
  • Work with sales and services team members, other Densify employees and customers to capture unique reporting needs of various user roles.
  • Work with engineering team to help quickly leverage new product features in existing and reports/dashboards.
  • Log and investigate and help address issues with custom reports and dashboards as well as any related base product issues.

Requirements:

  • Good working experience with reporting and/or Business Intelligence solutions (Tibco’s Jaspersoft preferred)
  • Proven ability in designing compelling reports and dashboards to present key information and metrics in the most appropriate manner considering factors such as
    • The consumers role (e.g. executive vs. system administrator)
    • Nature of report (e.g. informational vs. call to action)
    • And any other relevant factors.
  • Proven ability to understand data models and aggregate information from different sources in order to appropriately populate reports and dashboards. 
  • Experience with relational databases and SQL.
  • Experience with reporting on IT infrastructure, capacity management is desirable.
  • Conceptual knowledge of virtualization and cloud technologies (e.g. AWS) is a bonus
  • Experience with software deployment and associated tools (e.g. source code management systems, code development frameworks etc.) is a bonus

We are current looking to fill the role of a Pre-Sales Technical Specialist to join our team. Working with sales executives and our business development group, the Pre-Sales Technical Specialist will provide pre-sales coverage throughout the SaaS sales cycle.

The position requires strong technical foundation combined with excellent presentation and pre-sales skills.  The successful candidate will possess conceptual and analysis skills, planning abilities, sound judgment, innovation, excellent writing skills, and superior communication skills. This position will be based in Richmond Hill and report to the VP, Technical Sales. The position requires occasional North American travel (approximately 10%).

General Responsibilities:

  • Deliver all technical phases of a SaaS-drive sales cycle. This involves preparing and delivering sales presentations, performing software demonstrations, managing all phases of prospect Proof of Concept projects including preparation and delivery of POC summary documents and presentations, performing competitive research, and coordinating and preparing RFI/RFP responses.
  • Occasionally deliver on premise technical workshops and ad-hoc training.
  • Regular prospect and partner interaction via telephone, email, web meetings and in-person contact.

  • Work closely with and manage client-specific cross-functional teams composed of Engineering, Sales, Client Services, and Business Development Representatives.

Due to rapid growth Densify is actively seeking a Customer Cloud Advisor who will be responsible for advising customers on how to optimize their Cloud infrastructure by leveraging the analytics and insights provided by our SaaS software. The advisor will work with the Densify Sales and Customer Success Managers to ensure customers understand and take advantage of Densify’s recommendations. As well as the advisor’s intimate knowledge of the key Cloud provider’s Services offerings, catalogue options, buying and pricing structures. The successful candidate will be supporting global Fortune 1000 customers as they expand their use of the Public Cloud.

General Responsibilities:

  • Provide advice and guidance as the Densify Cloud subject matter expert to ensure customers successfully optimize their Cloud infrastructure through ongoing usage and adoption of Densify capabilities
  • Continual learning and research to keep current on the Cloud providers IaaS and PaaS offerings and pricing
  • Work with the Sales Representatives and Customer Success Managers, to undertake discovery and analysis of a client’s existing Cloud usage and provide valuable advice and recommendations
  • Function as a frontline technical resource for “best practice” and informal customer questions

  • 5+ years of direct customer engagement experience with a software or service provider in post-sales or professional services organizations is required.
  • Successfully managed customer engagements to completion and customer satisfaction
